General Principles

The word RFID encompasses all technologies that use radio waves to automatically identify objects or people.

The RFID system in other words radio frequency identification is a technology that allows you to memorize and retrieve information remotely with a label equipped with an antenna that allows you to receive and respond to radio requests emitted from the transceiver.

How does an RFID system work?

The RFID system works in the following way:

The RFID tag (or transponder) is itself equipped with a chip connected to an antenna, this antenna allows the chip to transmit the information (serial number, weight…) which can be read with a transmitter-receiver.

Once the information is transmitted to the RFID reader equipped with an integrated or external antenna, the latter only has to convert the radio waves into data and these can be read by an RFID software.
